LARGE FORMAT CNC MILLING

CNCs, or Computer Numerical Control, are highly automated milling/metalworking machines which have interchangeable blades that carve 3-dimensional shapes with precision. Since any particular component might require the use of a number of different tools – drills, saws, etc. – ACE machinists combine multiple tools into a single “cell”, a pod which mechanically installs each on the main rotating spindle, as needed, during the milling process. ACE’s CNCs are 5-Axis enabled. They can execute controlled machining from almost every angle without moving the material from one stationary position. This accounts for their exceptional accuracy. And our large format CNCs can produce parts from the size of a quarter to dies the size of armchairs.

Most of our customers use 3D-rendering/modeling software for their engineering needs. When we receive these digital models, they are translated into the language of our CNC computers, which then drives the milling program controlling drill bits and saws precisely cutting the metal.
